The return of cruising is getting closer each day, and cruise lines have been working behind the scenes to make our next cruises safe and more memorable than ever. In April, we’ll focus on the new and the improved experiences cruisers that are trending for cruises later this year or next year. The next time people cruise, they’ll want to go all out and you’ll want to be ready!
As the world continues to address challenges regarding COVID-19, the top priority for the entire cruise community—including cruise lines, travel agents, ports, destinations, suppliers and beyond—continues to be the health and safety of passengers, crew and the communities in the places we visit.
CLIA and its member lines have invested in research, worked with global experts, and closely cooperated with national and regional health, transport and safety authorities in specific regions to develop world-leading health and safety protocols. In fact, to date, we have put in place more than 75 science-led measures.
With the vaccine rollout gaining momentum, we are hopeful that the public health situation will continue to improve, and as we head into the warmer months, we will see a focus on reopening the travel and tourism sector in the United States, including cruises. The industry’s successful resumption in Europe and parts of Asia are a promising example that a responsible return to cruising is possible with the right measures in place.
